Bendable Ducky

The things we cherish reveal more about us than a dozen neighborhood gossips.

Here's an interesting item--home-made chocolate cereal using cocoa powder, ragi flower, and maple syrup as a sweetener. This is from Madhuram's Eggless Cooking: today's front page includes a recipe for chocolate zucchini bread.

For those of you who are fond of demolition tractors, here are photographs and specs from Kelly Tractor, featuring a line of Caterpillar equipment. You'll find all kinds of crushing, screening, earth-moving, scrap-handling and other devices here.

Meanwhile, yet more demolishing and reconstruction is scheduled for today in my apartment. There's nothing like a first-hand view of some of the equipment you've been extolling!

No worries.

Bluster and rage often conceals weakness and fear.

Nothing counteracts rage and anxiety like chocolate for breakfast, and here's one that looks good--triple chocolate cereal as featured on the floryhands blog.

And here, from allrecipes.com, is a recipe for chocolate chip cookies by Dora.

That should take care of any pesky talk-radio hosts blathering up your ether. Eat chocolate, think soothing thoughts about tropical beaches, and dress warmly, in layers.

When you're fully rested, you might want to get back to the house you're building. We left off with the purchase of a concrete truck to pour concrete into that gaping hole you dug with your excavator. One hopes you alerted any stray gardeners before setting to work.

Now you might want to consider the purchase of a lumber truck to fetch and carry pieces of wood with which to construct the parts of your house that attach to the concrete slab. Here's a nice picture of a White lumber truck from Ken Goudy's collection on hankstrukpictures.

Of course, if you prefer to stick with smaller equipment, you could always buy a lumber rack for your utility vehicle from an outfit like Prohoists. That would mean buying precut lumber instead of heading out into the woods and chopping down a forest all by yourself, but it might be a little easier.

Your choice.

And here are some demolition scrap and recycling attachments to inspire you. These are from B&R Equipment, where you will find a nice portfolio of photos of machinery hard at work.

That's all for now folks.

No worries.

I'm Enthusiastic About our Mission, Zox.

You know computers are starting to behave like humans when they refuse to admit mistakes.

Humans--those cute, lovable creatures with nuclear weapons!

While looking for breakfast cereals the other day, I  noticed a distinct lack of the sugary, chocolaty items that used to make the shelves so colorful. This is probably a good thing, because we should all be virtuous and righteous, etc., and eat morally sound rutabagas, turnips and stewed kale for breakfast, however....

If you would like to make your own chocolaty, politically incorrect breakfast cereal, you will find a reasonably healthy recipe on the Toddler Craft site. I googled 'chocolate breakfast cereals' and came up with lots of nostalgia sites, but this one actually has a recipe that even a child is supposed to be able to work with.

That lets me out, of course; I can't even open cereal boxes without ripping the package the wrong way.

I'll take a break from demolition equipment today, and talk about hot dog stands.

Hot dog stands are inextricably bound up with lazy summer days, when the sky is blue, the air is warm, baseball and soccer teams are going at it, people are relaxing at cottages, swimming in lakes, teasing sharks, and you don't have to put on a winter coat and boots to take a walk.

So if you want to help summer along, buy a hot dog stand. Here, from ehow, is some good advice on how to buy one, what to look for, and who really built the pyramids and what they're for. The beauty of a hot dog stand is that, when the economy crashes for good, and there's trouble in the streets, you will do well.

Even wild and crazy street radicals have to eat sometime.

It's summertime......
