They will also have to take their new pet for daily walkies, and they should be held accountable every time their little friend kills and eats a neighbor.
Warn your little dears that they must not take their pet to school and sic it on their enemies--that is what crossbows and maces are for.
And finally, any treasure their pet snatches from people who obviously never deserved treasure in the first place, must be shared equally with all members of the family.
Teach your children these few, simple principles, and everyone will be happy, healthy and wise (without the stupid early worm).
