Last Station, All Stop, All Get Off

I was at the Museum of Natural History for much of the day. Gazing upon fossils, skeletons, and other evidence of the ages-old ebb and flow of life on our planet, I was struck once again by how fragile it all is, and how big and hostile or indifferent the universe is to all living things.

We won't be here long--no need to hasten our own demise.

Here's a chocolate whale. This one can be replaced when it's gone; the other kind can't.

And here are some of the creatures about to vanish from our tiny world.

So eat chocolate, not whales!
