A carnival designed by politicians would be an unstable and dangerous place.
It's Friday--much of the apartment my wife and I live in has been reduced to concrete and dust for emergency renovations. This is what I get for linking to demolition sites! There's a thick layer of dust everywhere, including inside our lungs.
Some time this morning, a representative from our insurance company will arrive.
Ah well, the contractor in charge is very good, as are the people working for him. His name is Domenic Dipede; his company is Culmer Construction and Tiles (905-799-0240), and I highly recommend him to anyone in the Toronto area who needs any kind of renovation and reconstruction.
Meanwhile, here's a recipe for a giant chocolate chip cookie cake, from Emeril Lagasse, posted on the Food Network.
And here's a photo of Volvo's big EC360CLD demolition crawler ripping into a big hunk of concrete and steel. It's a merry sight!
No worries.
