Hippie Vikings Make Beatniks Obsolete

Beatniks were too intellectual to survive--all that philosophizing, beat poetry and jazz couldn't match what came next.

Meanwhile, for your viewing pleasure, here is a selection of Tiny Tonka Trucks from ages past, though still cherished and loved by many. I'd much rather play with examine a Tonka truck than suffer through, read beat poetry.

I'm not speaking of fine poets like Gary Snyder, of course. But the really good beat poets never liked the term 'beat' anyway, because it was a made-up term that really didn't mean very much.

It's time for some very intellectual chocolate muffins, which you can find here. Or this superb Black Forest cake.

Nothing could be finer.

Eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you'll do it again....

Steam-Powered Coffins are Groovy, Man!

Careless or distracted people lose themselves several times a day. Fortunately, you can download new personalities from the Acme Corporation for a modest fee, although batteries are not included, and product may not match picture on box.

If you do lose yourself, I recommend eating some of these chocolate squares, which you will find displayed on the womansday.com site, along with a recipe. What was I doing on that site? Looking for chocolate squares. Many men would be terrified at the mere thought of approaching such a dangerous place, however, Super Chocolate Eater will risk any danger for the benefit of all humanity.

Halloween is approaching. Here is one of my old comics drawn for the occasion:

Time flies when you're not looking.

Here is a picture of the philosopher, Hegel, who is undoubtedly thinking about something. Perhaps he's thinking about this chocolate malt cake from thebakingpan.com I'm certainly thinking about it, although it's early in the morning, so it should be eaten with a few flakes of oatmeal, or a rutabaga.

Be healthy!
Scotland forever!

OddVlod Coolbeak, Mayor of Toronto

The beat generation goes in and out of fashion, but their jargon lingers on, because it's rooted in jazz, and jazz is a fixed and beckoning star in a murky firmament.

Ha! Fine words for a Monday morning.

I've been reading old 'Archie' comics, where you can find a complete alternate universe, as friendly and safe as many of the early Disney universes. A little unreality is an effective antidote to the heavy concepts that people often bash you with--duty, responsibility, earnest endeavor etc.

If you'd like to purchase some heavy duty mining equipment this morning, here is a nice bucket wheel excavator (batteries not included).

And here are lots of chocolate chip cookies from laaloosh.com.

Time out....

Eat your broccoli!
