Bigger on the Inside than on the Outside

Working in a small, confined area with many other people leads to a certain, well-known hazard, though we won't discuss it here. It's certainly no worse than working a few feet away from a cat's litter box.

It's Saturday morning. Time is running out for the human race; scientists tell us we only have 4.5 billion years or so before the sun dies and we're all vaporized in a final conflagration. So much to do, so little time!

Long before then, of course, we'll have run out of chocolate, and probably we'll be short of other, less important food items, such as vegetables and tuna. We can always replace those by wishful thinking, which is what ghosts and spectres are good at.

I've been rereading Rosemary's Baby, a spooky and very classy thriller by a fine writer. No spectacular special effects, no people running around in muscle shirts in dark sewers, brandishing enormous weapons and grimacing and shouting at each other--just ordinary people caught up in mysterious and sinister events.

I like the look of this chocolate waffle, which comes to you courtesy of the eightsandyfeet.blogspot.com site. Here's a vegetable or two to go with it, from the Michigan Farmers Market.

And here's part of the Kensington Market in Toronto, which is a very popular site with locals and tourists alike. You can read about it here.

And now I must go on a quest for breakfast.

Elvis says 'Hi' again.

A Steam Duck Can Give You a Nice Edge

A magic spell is simply a formula for concentrating the mind, and what better formula than that old favorite, 'How much is that doggie in the window? The one with the waggely tail...etc.' Just reciting the words can invoke world peace, an end to poverty and hunger, universal harmony and...no...I'm afraid it doesn't work.

Here is a picture of a chocolate waffle, in case you want breakfast. And here is a picture of a chocolate eclair, in case you want to eat a chocolate eclair.

And here, from Wikimedia,  is a picture of a large battering ram. Philosophers often resort to using battering rams when nobody agrees with them. They would probably be better off singing 'How much is that doggie in the window...' but few of them know the words, and anyway, philosophers aren't good at harmonizing--they're too busy explaining why their colleagues don't understand the concept of harmony, and why harmony doesn't exist anyway.

Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag, and tie your kangaroo down.

No worries.

A Haggis in Distress

There's no doubt about it; when you have a child to look after, you can't simply rush off in all directions to save haggises in distress. You have responsibilities, and fighting evil isn't one of them. Leave that to Chicken Man.

As Philip Napoleon once said, Evil is just Good without the makeup. (He spoke in initial capitals from time to time, but hardly anyone noticed.)

Here's a picture of four large chocolate wedding cakes from weddingwire.com.  They're probably a little more expensive than ordinary cakes, so it might be best not to order one unless you're planning on getting hitched, or tying the knot, or dropping the anchor, or walking down the aisle, or jumping the broom, or buying the cow, or getting spliced, or fused, etc.

And here, from bbcgoodfood.com, is a picture of what they call the ultimate chocolate cake, and I'm inclined to agree. THIS is a chocolate cake!

Where was I?

What?

Egad...anyway, speaking of chocolate  cakes, here's a picture of a very large steam crane, from Bedfordshire.  Not to imply that you would need a crane to lift yourself after eating the BBC cake, but, erm....

It's Howdy Doody time....

Anyone Seen any Hockey Pucks?

No relation to the Mighty Ducks is implied. That team does not now, and probably will not in the future, employ ducks to bash enemy squadrons and score goals, although nothing is certain in this uncertain world of ours.

Here's a picture of a chocolate hockey player. I'll bet you didn't think such things were possible, but they are, and you can find more like this at the Chocolate Lady.

I hope these links work--I'm having a lot of trouble today with little mistakes. 'Cholocate' for chocolate seems to be one of my favorites, and 'plicture of a hocolate pyaler' has to be right up there with the Edsel as a symbol of what not to do.

Also the phone keeps ringing long distance--some spammer trying to get me sorted out in his data base of potential fools.

We need to send these guys in to take care of spammers.

Here, from  Good Housekeeping, is a chocolate malted. I want it.

No worries.
