How do Cows Work?

It's Monday morning again, so you can believe whatever you like. In fact, you can always believe whatever you like, as long as you watch out for reality's dangerous hooves.

Here is a picture of some chocolate gifts you might want to give someone, or better yet, to receive from someone.  The picture is from the chocolates UK website, where  you can find other interesting items.  I scanned the site, however I did not find any chocolate carrots or turnips, so you'll probably have to settle for boring old normal vegetables, if you want vegetables,

Actually, I just found this site, which has recipes featuring BOTH chocolate and vegetables.  Can such things be!
Yes they can--there are recipes for chocolate carrots, chocolate potato crisps, and all kinds of chocolate with fruit (That should be the other way around--all kinds of fruit with chocolate.)

The recipe for chocolate carrots involves dipping the carrots in two kinds of melted chocolate, then refrigerating the concoction until the chocolate hardens. Those of you with little creatures in the house will have to supervise them whilst they partake of this feast, in case they try to scrape off the chocolate and just eat the carrots--or should this sentence be the other way around too?

If you're allergic to food, you could always close your eyes and pretend the chocolate is a special kind of water, perhaps heavy water. That way, you could get a secure job in a nuclear reactor, unless you'd rather be a medical isotope.

Anyway, I'm getting off topic here. So, don't pay any attention to me; eat healthy and nutritious foods, and you'll be sorry healthy.

Happy trails....

Anyone Seen any Hockey Pucks?

No relation to the Mighty Ducks is implied. That team does not now, and probably will not in the future, employ ducks to bash enemy squadrons and score goals, although nothing is certain in this uncertain world of ours.

Here's a picture of a chocolate hockey player. I'll bet you didn't think such things were possible, but they are, and you can find more like this at the Chocolate Lady.

I hope these links work--I'm having a lot of trouble today with little mistakes. 'Cholocate' for chocolate seems to be one of my favorites, and 'plicture of a hocolate pyaler' has to be right up there with the Edsel as a symbol of what not to do.

Also the phone keeps ringing long distance--some spammer trying to get me sorted out in his data base of potential fools.

We need to send these guys in to take care of spammers.

Here, from  Good Housekeeping, is a chocolate malted. I want it.

No worries.

But I'm a Male!

The real Merlin lived in the woods and ate wild chocolate, so he wouldn't know much about infants. Today, he'd be an economist, teaching people how to make lead out of gold.

Here's a picture of a chocolate sundae, which seems to me to be worth it's weight in lots of things. And here, from the same site, is a picture of a banana split. If you're easily tempted, you should only look at these with your eyes closed.

I think if there's an afterlife, it should take place in a fifties-style soda shoppe, complete with chocolate malteds, sundaes, banana splits, old-fashioned coffee from a percolator, grilled cheese sandwiches, blt's, all kinds of burgers, French fries, etc. And it should have a juke box, and a view of the River Styx, where you can watch Jean-Paul Sartre and the Fisher King fishing for T. S. Eliot's boots.

Here's a picture of a genuine Edinburgh steamroller, from Edinburgh.

Hoot mon!

A Baby on Merlin's Doorstep

Igrayne doesn't seem to have had much to say about the sudden dispatching of her baby. I suspect most women would be somewhat upset if their brand new Little Person suddenly vanished into the ether. This may be a clue as to which gender created the Arthurian cycle of stories.

It's fall again. I can tell, because my Peanuts wall calendar is beginning to feature a lot of strips in which the evil Lucy tricks Charlie Brown into trying to kick a football. Can Snoopy's hockey games in the frozen-over birdbath be far behind?

Where are you, Charles Schulz? Watching a hockey game with Elvis and Marylin? Trading sketches with Walt Kelly?

It's football season. If you need some football, but don't feel like getting flattened by enemy panzer tackles, here are some chocolate footballs. If you've read a lot of Jean-Paul Sartre, you'd probably rather watch soccer games, aka football, so here are some chocolate soccer balls.

And if you like Westerns, here's a picture of Roy Rogers and Dale Evans.

Happy trails to you....
