Some events are unique, and some recur. Events that originate in human behavior often recur, but not always. Bubble-chasing, however, will always be in vogue.
Here's some chocolate fudge from joyofbaking.com. Fudge recurs.
Here's a picture of the gearing on a Shay steam locomotive. Shay locomotives, often used in logging, where steep inclines and rickety track were the norm, no longer recur. Sadly, beautiful things are often unique, or limited to a comparatively short period in our history.
Here's a chap making steel. This used to occur frequently in Canada and the United States, but not so much anymore. Economists can explain such things; I cannot. That's because I'm not fluent in differential equations.
If you would like to learn how to speak in differential equations, here is the Wikipedia guide. According to Wikipedia, a differential equation "is a mathematical equation for an unknown function of one or several variables that relates the values of the function itself and its derivatives of various orders."
That explains everything.
I wonder if steel workers are values or derivatives. To their families, they would be ordinary, decent people just trying to get by.
It's a strange day in the neighborhood.

I'm an Undead Frog, Mind You!
In the race to develop an undead frog, no nation has achieved supremacy, although Toronto, under Mayor Vlod Ironbeak, has assembled a team of researchers, and may soon pull into the lead.
There's still time to develop a multi-national treaty banning the use of undead frogs in all conflicts. The consequences of an undead frog war are too terrible to contemplate, though I, in the interests of serving humanity, have contemplated just such horrors, and am here to tell you that they are unimaginable.
If the unthinkable happens, and an undead frog war breaks out, here is what you should include in your survival kit.
Here are some chocolate teddy bear cake decoration disks, from the cakescookiesandcraftsshop.co.uk. Don't eat them all at once, unless you want to.
Here is a chocolate Christmas tree from Italy that was made with 60 kgs of chocolate. This definitely solves the problem of what to do with the tree once the festive season is over.
And here is a picture of an excavator, in case you want to excavate something.
Somewhere, over the rainbow....

There's More Than One Foot of Evil Afoot
Human, as everyone knows, invented sin.
Ducks don't sin; they just do whatever they like, until a bigger duck comes along and tells them what they like. It's called the 'Law of the Beak', or 'Beaking and Nothingness', and it doesn't mean a thing, until you meet the Big Duck.
Here is a picture of a 12 lb sledge hammer.
And here is a picture of a big duck. Which of these two pictures is different from the other picture? Which of these two are the same? Why?
In 5,000 words are more, explain why one is better than the other.
Or you can forget about exams and essays and just eat this chocolate duck. It's a better test of your abilities. I got this picture from the site of another cartoonist who happens to be another Smith, though unrelated to me, as far as I know. Perhaps I'm related to him. Anyway, he's a talented cartoonist, and his site is definitely worth a look.
And now, it's time.
No worries.
