Surprise!

You know you're making progress when your date starts to feel comfortable with you.

Sometimes it's nice to spice up your life with a little variety--take a different route to the candy store, for instance, or vacation in a different part of your house this year. Or, try one of these variety packs from Leonidas, featuring  12 different chocolate bars.

That's enough mischief for this morning!

Here's an assortment of boom-mounted demolition tool bits and hydraulic rock hammers from Gorilla. This site features a lot of specs, as well as a selection of articles of interest to anyone in the demolition business.

Here's another rutabaga, courtesy of Foodland Ontario.

No worries.

Goths aren't as Scary as Bankers

Here is the news:

The world's largest chocolate bar was spotted in Yerevan this year, just before being eaten. It weighed 9,702 pounds, and has been enshrined in the Guinness Book of Records. It was 10 inches thick.

In other news, here is a recipe for chocolate pudding from North Devon, courtesy of BBC Good Food.

That's enough about chocolate.

In entertainment news, here is a slide show from Delsan featuring some excellent demolition machines hard at work. There's a video on the site as well, along with information on the machines, and the company's philosophy of demolition. Hollywood actors come and go, but demolition machines are here to stay.

And finally, here are some pictures of cute kittens from Australia. For small demolition work, nothing beats a kitten or a puppy.

The forecast for today is cold and warm, with tropical storms and blizzards. Stay indoors, unless you want to go outside.

Your horoscope for today is part of a secret code that cannot be revealed.

No worries.

Bankers Ate my Money

It's a well-known fact that if a beautiful princess kisses a frog, she'll get warts.

Did you know that there are two kinds of wombats--the common wombat and the hairy-nosed wombat? I would think that if I were a wombat, I wouldn't want to be common; I'd want the hairy nose special.

Wombats come out at night to eat grasses and roots, a diet upon which they grow to 55 pounds or so. And they sleep all day in immense burrows.

You'll find a picture of a wombat and more information about these creatures here, on the wombania.com site.

Speaking of steam engines, did you know that the "heaviest train ever hauled by a single engine is believed to be one of 15,545 tonnes (34,270,820 lb.) made up of 250 freight cars stretching 2.5 km. (1.6 miles) by the Matt H. Shay (No. 5014), a 2-8-8-8-2 steam engine which ran on the Erie Railroad in the US from 1914 until 1929."

I got that information from modeltrain.net, an invaluable source of important information. Nine out of ten dentists agree that model railroads are essential to our well-being.

Here is a recipe for chocolate pumpkin layer cake with brown sugar frosting.

And here on this site, you will find pictures and recipes for 47 different cakes.

Or you can always eat a rutabaga.

Look What you Did to our UFO!

There have been few recorded incidents of collisions involving UFO's and camels, overhead cranes, wrecking balls and steam rollers, however it's wise to prepare for any eventuality.

The next time you find yourself driving on the freeway, or just rushing about the city shopping for rutabagas and chocolate, keep an eye out for stray UFO's, and if you spot one, try to see if it's being chased by ducks in steam rollers or on camels. If it is, then run away as fast as you can. Don't forget your car, of course, but split the scene post haste.

Here is a picture of a dark chocolate pecan pie, along with a recipe, from www.hersheys.com. You should probably eat this at lunch, not breakfast, however I'm sure it's nutritious and wholesome, and all of those other things. I don't care; I'll just eat it.

Here is a selection of Cadbury chocolate bars. And here is a picture of a cabbage from the Green Giant Company. The cabbage is undoubtedly better for you. I believe I shall have a cabbage for lunch.

And then a chocolate bar.

Elvis says hello....

The Lost-and-Found Rabbit Hole

Physicists have got it wrong; it's not worm holes that will take us from one corner of the universe to another, it's rabbit holes.

I've worked up yet more of my website--now you can read this comic sequentially, without any intervening blather. Only a few hundred more things to do and it will be finished!

I'm eating one of these PC Choice chocolate almond bars right now, by the way. Not the whole thing, of course--nobody would be silly enough to do that. heh heh heh. Anyway, it's good. And they're not even paying me to say it--in fact, I had to pay for the chocolate bar, and it's not cheap.
Jean-Paul Sartre would call it names--he'd write in his blog, mynausea.com, that it was merely a thing in itself, not even smart enough to get nauseous over the mere fact of the existence of things.

Here's a collection of articles on how to make a toy WWI tank, by A Toy Making Dad. I think this is a good idea.

And here's a big WWI gun in action. If you decide to build one of these things, please don't go duck hunting with it.

Time to fly south, to Buffalo.
