New Beginnings

I'm running on empty; it's time to come up with a new approach, or possibly some more chocolate.

Here's a recipe for an extremely good looking chocolate cream pie from King Arthur Flower.

No worries.

Lost in the Gothic Forest

Some people don't like to ask directions.

Here are directions to a chocolate cream pie from Heather Tirrell in Saveur. This is one journey definitely worth the effort.

And for those of you who would rather be out there demolishing something, here is a line of steel shear demolition attachments from Tramac. These have interchangeable nose blades that allow the tip of the shear to pierce material and hold it in place while cutting.

Here are some squashes.

Variety is the life of spice.

No worries.

There's a place in this world for everyone, even those of us with odd and unusual beaks.

It's Friday--a good time for a chocolate or two, or six. Here's a nice selection of chocolates from the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. Or you could go with a chocolate cream pie, like this one from Cully's Kitchen.

Which brings us to the gentle topic of demolition: how to plan for it, what's involved, and what equipment will be needed. All demolition companies will take you through this process, of course, so you don't have to rush out and purchase a copy of Demolition for Dum Dums just to get rid of that obsolete structure blocking your progress.

Here, for instance, is the Thomson Metals and Disposal site, which offers an overview of what you can expect, along with some nice photos of demolition machines at work.

And here, from Gensco, is an assortment of Lukas portable cutting tools that should brighten your day.

And here is a rutabaga, courtesy of the University of Illinois.

No worries.

Polite Viking Raid

A Viking raid by any other name is still a raid.

It's Monday morning, and what better way to start the day than with a chocolate cream pie! Here's the recipe from food.com.

When you've finished your pie, you might want to take a look at this line of demolition crushers from Jersey Crusher, for your next demolition job. These include the 1524 stainless steel Lumpbuster on a stainless steel stand with a pneumatic cylinder that lifts the hinged loading chute.

No worries.

I'm late for some reason, probably because I slept in.

I have to get down to the shops before all of the demolition equipment is sold out; I was thinking of getting something like this to put under the tree for my wife, or this. I don't know; they might not sell these at the Hudson's Bay Company.

It's easier to think about chocolate cream pie than it is to think about presents. My brain hurts already.

Well, I'm off.

Don't eat anything I wouldn't eat....

The Dentist is Your Friend

If you want a radioactive frog to bite you, then you'll have to go to a lot of extra work and expense.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about chocolate cream pies as a solution to the problem of the missing dark matter in the universe. Here's one from Epicurious that could solve almost any problem, except that of the missing bankers.

There's a recipe included, in case you want to try your luck. Please don't destroy the universe while you're experimenting with this--we need it, for the time being.

Here's one from Canadian Living called a Double Whammy chocolate cream pie. There's a recipe for it, along with a lot of other recipes, should you accept the mission.

Meanwhile, I've been thinking of experimenting with a little animation to liven up my cartoons. I've been looking at Toon Boom studio and Anime Studio, with an eye to adding yet more hours to the day's overload of projects and plans. Maybe this is a bad idea.

Maybe I'll look at some more pictures of demolition equipment, like these useful devices from Demolition Attachments. This company sells a complete spectrum of fascinating things, including multiprocessor, rotating pulverizer, fixed puliverizer, steel shear, mechanical crusher, mechanical grapple, and hydraulic hammers.

Batteries not included, not available in stores, and you'll need a large demolition machine to which you can affix the attachments.

Some people think that demolition is a fairly simple business, involving the complete destruction of various objects.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Demolition is a complex activity that requires much thought and planning, and involves an entire philosophy. As Diogenes said (It's one of the lost fragments), "You have to destroy a chocolate cake to enjoy it."

Where are the steam engines of yesteryear?

Happy Trails to you....

Hockey Players Will go Anywhere in Search of Pucks

Yes, they will.

I'm running late again, but I do have time to stop and admire this chocolate cream pie from King Arthur Flour, where you'll find the recipe. Actually, this site has quite a lot of recipes, including this one, for a chocolate cream roll.

So much to eat, so little time!

Speaking of demolition sites, here's a superb aerial view of one, featuring several pieces of equipment hard at work. This is from the WRS Compass Company. There's quite a lot of information on their site about demolition, safety concerns, recycling, hazardous materials etc. If you're planning on replacing your pesky neighbor's house with a high-speed rail link or a shopping center, this is the place to start.

Time is passing, the clock is ticking. Soon it will be spring.

Good on spring!

Watch for Falling Dragons, Next Ten Kilometres

Dragons are anarchists--what they want, they take; what they don't like, they flash roast. They're vulnerable to the common cold, however; it puts out their pilot lights.

Here is a German chocolate cream pie, posted on the ifood.tv site. Looking at this picture will help you to contemplate infinity; you'll feel harmonious and oceanic for the rest of the day.
There's a recipe, in case you want to engage in the full, Zen-like experience of making and eating it, and there are videos about food on the site.

That's enough about food. Here is an extraordinary picture of a long-necked demolition unit assaulting an apartment block. This is from the RM Penny demolition company, which works in the south of England. If you go to the site, you'll find on their home page a nice picture of some trucks and demolition equipment gathered together for a quiet chat.

I find pictures of heavy construction and demolition equipment very soothing.

That's enough about demolition.

Here's a splendid chocolate bunny from Lake Champlain Chocolates. Remember, he's watching you--he knows whether you've been bad or good.

Don't count your chickens until they've crossed the road....

Undead Zombie Frog Bankers Want Your Money NOW!

It's true.
I'm late for a very important date with Adobe Illustrator and the next comic, so I will conclude this posting with a brief dissertation on chocolate. You can order a bound copy if you like, for your perusal later on, at your leisure, when appropriate sacrifices to Demeter have been made so that the crops will grow again.

Here is the dissertation: Chocolate good! Yum!

Here is a picture of a chocolate cream pie. I have no idea who the goddess of chocolate cream pies is, but we should all give thanks, in case she goes away.

Here is a picture of a steam shovel. These are sometimes available at your local pet store for adoption, but you have to prove that you would be a good owner, and brush and comb your little steam shovel every day.

No worries.
